Online Books
The UT Library website] provides access to [http://www.lib.utexas.edu/books/etext.html thousands of books online, although not that many on computer science.
Advnatages of eBooks
- You don't have to buy the original book.
- The text is searchable.
Disadvantages of eBooks
- Some websites have a limit on the number of concurrent viewers, so it may not be available for online viewing before homework deadlines or exams, when you need them the most.
- You generally cannot save or print them.
UT and Partner Libraries
Even if UT doesn't have the book, or if all copies are checked out, you can still borrow it from one of the partner libraries (someone please insert the url where this can be searched).
