-The Friar Society is the oldest and most prestigious honor society at The University ​of Texas at Austin. Since 1911, the Friar Society has recognized students who have made significant contributions to the university. The only prerequisite for applicants ​is the completion of 75 undergraduate hours or to be a graduate student.The Friar Society will start accepting applications for membership today, Monday, February 19, 2007.
