+The Friar Society is the oldest and most prestigious honor society at The University of Texas at Austin. Since 1911, the Friar Society has recognized students who have made significant contributions to the university. The only prerequisite for applicants is the completion of 75 undergraduate hours or to be a graduate student.The Friar Society will start accepting applications for membership today, Monday, February 19, 2007. Applications will be available in the Student Organization Center Office (right off the elevator on the 4th floor of the Student Services Building) and at [[http://www.friarsociety.org/|www.friarsociety.org]] starting at 12:00 PM.  They will be due on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 5:00 PM to the Student Organization  Center.
