====== Graduate Adviser ======

At UT, this is what a graduate adviser does:
  * Advise grad students.
  * Approve registration (when needed).
  * Make sure student records are kept.
  * Refer students to other people as needed.
  * Certify to the [[graduate_studies_committee|Graduate Studies Committee]] that students has completed all of the degree requirements for graduation.

The graduate adviser is a professor in the program (and a member of the [[graduate_studies_committee|Graduate Studies Committee]]).

Currently, the graduate adviser is Prof. Greg Plaxton.
